The Problem Areas in Diabetes—Pediatric version (PAID-Peds) survey is a tool designed to assess the emotional burden experienced by children and adolescents aged 8–17 years with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM). Recognizing the need for a culturally appropriate instrument for Spanish-speaking populations, a study protocol has been developed to translate, culturally adapt, and validate the PAID-Peds survey into Spanish.
